Logo design is my favorite kind of work, by far. When Abby Owen of Hunt + Gather came to me, I knew this was a project I had to be a part of. Our first thought was that the existing logo just needed to be cleaned up. There were aspects of it that made the logo hard to reuse every year. After a few iterations, we knew we needed something different. We drew inspiration from other artists that used negative space, and settled on a “brush” symbol incorporated into the ampersand.
